Be faithful until death,<br \/>\nand I will give you the crown of life.<\/p>\n<p>11 \u201cHe who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.\u201d \u2019<\/p>\n<p>The Compromising Church<br \/>\n12 \u201cAnd to the angel of the church in Pergamos write,<br \/>\n\u2018These things says He who has the sharp two-edged sword:<br \/>\n13 \u201cI know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan\u2019s throne is.<br \/>\nAnd you hold fast to My name, and<br \/>\ndid not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr,<br \/>\nwho was killed among you, where Satan dwells.<br \/>\n14 But I have a few things against you, because you have there<br \/>\nthose who hold the doctrine of Balaam,<br \/>\nwho taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel,<br \/>\nto eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality.<br \/>\n15 Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.<br \/>\n16 Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.<br \/>\n17 \u201cHe who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.<br \/>\nTo him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat.<br \/>\nAnd I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written<br \/>\nwhich no one knows except him who receives it.\u201d \u2019<\/p>\n<p>The Corrupt Church<br \/>\n18 \u201cAnd to the angel of the church in Thyatira write,<br \/>\n\u2018These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire,<br \/>\nand His feet like fine brass:<br \/>\n19 \u201cI know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience;<br \/>\nand as for your works, the last are more than the first.<br \/>\n]20 Nevertheless I have a few things against you,<br \/>\nbecause you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess,<br \/>\nto teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality<br \/>\nand eat things sacrificed to idols.<br \/>\n21 And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent.<br \/>\n22 Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her<br \/>\ninto great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.<br \/>\n23 I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know<br \/>\nthat I am He who searches the minds and hearts.<br \/>\nAnd I will give to each one of you according to your works.<br \/>\n25 But hold fast what you have till I come.<br \/>\n26 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations\u2014<br \/>\n27 \u2018He shall rule them with a rod of iron;<br \/>\nThey shall be dashed to pieces like the potter\u2019s vessels\u2019\u2014<br \/>\nas I also have received from My Father;<br \/>\n28 and I will give him the morning star.<br \/>\n29 \u201cHe who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.\u201d \u2019<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<br \/>\nRevelation 3 (NJKV)<br \/>\nThe Dead Church<br \/>\n1 \u201cAnd to the angel of the church in Sardis write,<br \/>\n\u2018These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars:<br \/>\n\u201cI know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.<br \/>\n2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die,<br \/>\nfor I have not found your works perfect before God.<br \/>\n3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent.<br \/>\nTherefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief,<br \/>\nand you will not know what hour I will come upon you.<br \/>\n4 You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments;<br \/>\nand they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy.<br \/>\n5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments,<br \/>\nand I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life;<br \/>\nbut I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.<br \/>\n6 \u201cHe who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.\u201d \u2019<\/p>\n<p>The Faithful Church<br \/>\n7 \u201cAnd to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write,<\/p>\n<p>\u2018These things says He who is holy, He who is true, \u201cHe who has the key of David, He who<br \/>\nopens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens\u201d:<br \/>\n8 \u201cI know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it;<br \/>\nfor you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.<br \/>\n9 Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not,<br \/>\nbut lie\u2014indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet,<br \/>\nand to know that I have loved you.<br \/>\n10 Because you have kept My command to persevere,<br \/>\nI also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world,<br \/>\nto test those who dwell on the earth.<br \/>\n11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.<br \/>\n12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God,<br \/>\nand he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God<br \/>\nand the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven<br \/>\nfrom My God. And I will write on him My new name.<br \/>\n13 \u201cHe who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.\u201d \u2019<\/p>\n<p>The Lukewarm Church<br \/>\n14 \u201cAnd to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,<br \/>\n\u2018These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness,<br \/>\nthe Beginning of the creation of God:<br \/>\n15 \u201cI know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.<br \/>\n16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,<br \/>\nI will vomit you out of My mouth.<br \/>\n17 Because you say, \u2018I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing\u2019\u2014<br \/>\nand do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked\u2014<br \/>\n18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich;<br \/>\nand white garments, that you may be clothed,<br \/>\nthat the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed;<br \/>\nand anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.<br \/>\n19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.<br \/>\n20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock.
