Dilemma in church today<\/div>\n<div>A.\u00a0 Confusion, fears, doubts, chaos, anger, unforgiveness<\/div>\n<div>B.\u00a0 What is God&#8217;s will?\u00a0 Who do I trust?\u00a0 Where is God in my issues?<\/div>\n<div>Why is everything so hard?\u00a0 Am I supposed to judge; do I have to love everybody?<\/div>\n<div>C.\u00a0 right vs wrong; legal vs illegal; fair vs unfair; ethical vs unethical; truth vs lies;<\/div>\n<div>good vs evil<\/div>\n<div>II. Dilemma of Discernment (or lack thereof)<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 A.\u00a0 A major factor in the dilemma is a lack of discernment by the body<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 B.\u00a0 Discernment is expected of the mature body members (Heb 5:14)<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 C.\u00a0 If we discern then Eph 1: 18 = eyes of our understanding (heart) would<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0be enlightened and we would know the hope of God&#8217;s calling and the riches<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0of the glory of His inheritance and the exceeding greatness of His power<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0toward us<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 D.\u00a0 Discerning is a sifting through, close examination, perceiving,<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0understanding, scrutiny, discriminating deciphering thought<\/div>\n<div>III. Tree of knowledge of good and evil {Genesis 3: 5-6} appeals to the soul<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 A.\u00a0 be like God<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 B.\u00a0 appealing to senses\u00a0 (see, good to eat) and desirable to make one wise<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 (so we can decide what is good and what is evil)<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 C.\u00a0 can&#8217;t trust feelings (Jer 17: 9) for out of heart comes the issues of life<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 (Prov 4: 23)<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 D.\u00a0 Discerning meant to be spiritual.\u00a0 If we use it in soul, we find ourselves.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 judging with bias.\u00a0 In the flesh we are condemning<\/div>\n<div>IV.
