{"id":186,"date":"2021-05-30T21:44:16","date_gmt":"2021-05-30T21:44:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/city-refuge.org\/street\/2021\/05\/30\/pentecost-sunday-2021-with-larry-craddick\/"},"modified":"2021-05-30T21:44:16","modified_gmt":"2021-05-30T21:44:16","slug":"pentecost-sunday-2021-with-larry-craddick","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/city-refuge.org\/street\/2021\/05\/30\/pentecost-sunday-2021-with-larry-craddick\/","title":{"rendered":"Pentecost Sunday 2021 with Larry Craddick"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"epyt-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\"  style=\"display: block; margin: 0px auto;\"  id=\"_ytid_29282\"  width=\"640\" height=\"360\"  data-origwidth=\"640\" data-origheight=\"360\"  data-relstop=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CdXYiWb4O_E?enablejsapi=1&autoplay=1&cc_load_policy=0&cc_lang_pref=&iv_load_policy=1&loop=0&rel=0&fs=1&playsinline=0&autohide=2&theme=dark&color=red&controls=1&\" class=\"__youtube_prefs__  no-lazyload\" title=\"YouTube player\"  allow=\"fullscreen; accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen data-no-lazy=\"1\" data-skipgform_ajax_framebjll=\"\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Act 4<\/p>\n<p>5 The next day the council of all the rulers and elders and teachers of religious law met in Jerusalem.<br \/>\n6 Annas the high priest was there, along with Caiaphas, John,<br \/>\nAlexander, and other relatives of the high priest.<br \/>\n7 They brought in the two disciples and demanded, \u201cBy what power, or in whose name, have you done this?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them,<br \/>\n\u201cRulers and elders of our people,<br \/>\n9 are we being questioned today<br \/>\nbecause we\u2019ve done a good deed for a crippled man?<br \/>\nDo you want to know how he was healed?<br \/>\n10 Let me clearly state to all of you and to all the people of Israel that<br \/>\nhe was healed by the powerful name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene,<br \/>\nthe man you crucified but whom God raised from the dead.<br \/>\n11 For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says,<br \/>\n\u2018The stone that you builders rejected<br \/>\nhas now become the cornerstone.<\/p>\n<p>16 \u201cWhat should we do with these men?\u201d they asked each other.<br \/>\n\u201cWe can\u2019t deny that they have performed a miraculous sign,<br \/>\nand everybody in Jerusalem knows about it<\/p>\n<p>17 But to keep them from spreading their propaganda any further, we must warn them not to<br \/>\nspeak to anyone in Jesus\u2019 name again.\u201d<br \/>\n18 So they called the apostles back in and commanded them never again to speak or teach in<br \/>\nthe name of Jesus.<\/p>\n<p>19 But Peter and John replied,<br \/>\n\u201cDo you think God wants us to obey you rather than him?<br \/>\n20 We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>21 The council then threatened them further, but they finally let them go because they didn\u2019t<br \/>\nknow how to punish them without starting a riot. For everyone was praising God<br \/>\n22 for this miraculous sign\u2014the healing of a man who had been lame for more than forty years.<\/p>\n<p>27 \u201cIn fact, this has happened here in this very city!
